Parco di Villa Glori, Rome, Italy

“In 1997, on the idea of art critic Daniela Fonti, the Rome City promoted the creation of a contemporary sculpture park with a permanent exhibition titled Varcare la soglia.

A space considered but, at the same time, acted upon inhabited. In the words of Daniela fonti:”I’ve watched Staccioli working at Villa Gori, I’ve seen him pace across sections of the wood to measure them phisically, and I’ve seen him mentally assess shapes, forces, weights and materials, and regard then as real before they were created.”
