In 1976, the municipal administration of Pesaro involved artists in an initiative aiming for establishing a new relationship between culture and the city. The intention was no longer to organize sculpture exhibitions in the city, as it happened in the past, but to call upon artists to design ad hoc interventions for urban spaces. Staccioli questions the location of his forms, which in the design materials recur in relation to the sea and the landscape, an imaginative fertility that has mostly remained on paper.
