Scultura-Intervento ‘06, 2006
Cardboard and paint, 26.4×116.3×3.3 cm
Mauro Staccioli Archive Museum, Volterra
In 2006, Galleria Fumagalli in Bergamo presented a solo show dedicated to Mauro Staccioli. For the occasion, the artist created seven works for the gallery spaces: on the ground floor, three grand grey cement circles interact with the surrounding environment, while the lower level is invaded by an ogival shape in red cement, compressed in a horizontal orientation with a development of 13m; in the remaining part of the gallery, three very elongated, vertical and irregular triangles are also compressed in space and made of natural cement.
